OBJECTIVES

Upon completion of this CE material, the participant should be able to:

  1. Describe the major causes of bone loss in patients with breast cancer.
  2. Discuss special considerations related to breast cancer patients on aromatase inhibitors.
  3. Cite measures that can be taken to prevent and/or treat bone loss in women with breast cancer.
  4. Describe the major causes of bone loss in patients with prostate cancer.
  5. Cite measures that can be taken to prevent and/or treat bone loss in men with prostate cancer.
