A Gift from
Mothers to Daughters

What: The National Osteoporosis Foundation (NOF) is hosting a fundraising luncheon inspired by the theme A Gift from Mothers to Daughters. Of all the gifts that generations of women have passed on to their families, one of the most important is the gift of knowledge about health – especially information about bone health and osteoporosis. To acknowledge and encourage this gift, we are planning a festive afternoon of socializing and networking with a silent auction and live entertainment. This annual event will be highlighted by the Generation Award, an honor bestowed on one or more influential women committed to delivering the message of good health and disease prevention to American women everywhere.

When: Wednesday, September 24, 2008

   11:30 a.m.      Silent Auction Reception
12:30 p.m.      Lunch and Award Presentations
   1:30 p.m.        Entertainment

Where: The Pierre Hotel
Fifth Avenue at 61st Street
New York City

Who: Attendees will be drawn from a guest list of prominent community and social leaders along with NOF donors, supporters and their friends. Leadership includes event chair Sharon Marantz Walsh; vice chair and NOF trustee, Carol Saline; and honorary chair, the legendary model Carmen.
