NOF offers the Professional Partners Network® (PPN) Directory as a public service to help you find healthcare providers in your area who offer osteoporosis prevention, diagnosis and/or treatment services. The healthcare providers listed in the directory pay an annual fee to be a member of the PPN Directory and each member is able to provide a description of their services to accompany their listing in the directory.
The PPN Directory is not a complete listing of all healthcare providers in any geographic area. Be sure to make appropriate local inquiries about specific qualifications before selecting a provider.
Click here for additional information to help you select a healthcare provider or if you don’t see a healthcare provider listed in your local area.
If you are a healthcare provider and wish to be included in the PPN Directory, please contact membership@nof.org to receive NOF's Professional Partners Network® application packet.
Please contact NOF with any additional questions about the PPN Directory.

The Baton Rouge Clinic Osteoporosis Center offers a comprehensive program of education, evaluation, and treatment and/or consultative recommendations regarding osteopenia (bone loss) and osteoporosis. The Osteoporosis Center's services are available to all individuals, whether newly diagnosed or with a long established diagnosis, by either self-referral or by physician-directed referral. Our physicians are board certified in either skeletal (Rheumatology) or endocrine (Endocrinology) specialties and follow best practices care for all forms of osteoporosis and osteopenia, in both males and females. Just taking the correct medications is not sufficient to address osteoporosis completely. While all cases of osteoporosis are managed aggressively, the osteoporosis program at the Baton Rouge Clinic is uniquely capable of evaluating and managing: 1) osteoporosis that is resistant to treatment, and 2) individuals whose bone density scores continue to deteriorate in spite of their current treatment plan. For those individuals that have been diagnosed with osteoporosis, its precursor osteopenia or those who are at risk for bone loss, our Osteoporosis Intervention Program has been clinically proven to increase bone density in the femur, hip and lumbar spine. This program safely and effectively stresses the musculoskeletal structures in two sessions per week. For the spine, we use the MedX Lumbar Spine Testing and Rehabilitation equipment, the only exercises that have been clinically proven to increase the density of the lumbar vertebrae. In addition to added bone health, this program also offers these other health benefits: increased metabolism, loss of body fat, greater strength, better balance, greater stamina and more energy. In February, 2006 J. Greg Bentley, M.D. and Jon J. Wilson, D.O., opened Piedmont Spine Specialists, P.A. with the goal of helping patients with painful spinal and musculoskeletal conditions return to functional lifestyles through the highest quality of care in a compassionate environment. A vast majority of patients with back, neck and musculoskeletal pain do not require surgery. In these cases a physiatry clinic is the perfect choice. Dr. Bentley states, "Our small practice setting allows us the opportunity to spend more time with our patients and listen to their concerns." Piedmont Spine Specialists, P.A. is currently accepting new patients and welcomes physician phone calls. “We encourage physicians to call us directly to discuss a case, ask a question about spinal issues, or to request an urgent visit,” adds Dr. Wilson. “Accessibility is another advantage of having a small practice and we want our referring providers to make the most of this setting.” Piedmont Spine Specialists generally does not accept patients under the age of sixteen and does not provide or manage narcotics for chronic pain management. Both doctors are board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and hold a subspecialty certificate in Pain Medicine through the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Our providers are experts in bone health, striving for the most comprehensive evaluations and treatment for osteoporosis and other conditions that cause low bone mass with a tendency to fracture. Although we often see patients with complicated bone problems, we welcome anyone who has a concern about their bone health. The early diagnosis of osteoporosis is important so that the consequence of low bone mass, a bone fracture, can be prevented. If you have experienced a fracture, you can consider our center as a medical fracture clinic where we will try to develop a non-surgical strategy to help prevent further fractures. What makes our center unique? We are one of the few Osteoporosis specialty practices in the area to offer comprehensive bone care and specialized services. Patients or their referring physicians can choose any number of these services to help evaluate and treat osteoporosis or low bone mass. Alternatively, patients or referring physicians can request a comprehensive bone health evaluation.
