A Gift from Mothers to Daughters Luncheon

For nearly 30 years, NOF has been committed to preventing osteoporosis and broken bones and promoting strong bones for life. Yet in the U.S. today, one in two women and up to one in four men will suffer an osteoporosis-related fracture.
With the growing success of our annual A Gift from Mothers to Daughters luncheon, in 2011 we launched the Generations of Strength Campaign. This awareness and fundraising initiative calls on mothers and daughters to start conversations about bone health and family health history in order to elevate osteoporosis to an issue of national concern and raise funds to help NOF reach our goals of better treating and ultimately preventing osteoporosis.
Join NOF at our 5th annual luncheon as we celebrate the campaign’s first year success and honor champions for bone health. Together, we can help improve patient care and support for the most vulnerable - those who have broken a bone due to osteoporosis - and protect future generations from this disease.

On Monday, September 26, NOF hosted its 4th Annual A Gift from Mothers and Daughters® luncheon at the Pierre Hotel in New York City. Nearly 200 guests were in attendance as we honored leaders in women’s health and launched NOF’s Generations of Strength: A Mothers and Daughters Campaign.
Bestselling author and campaign National Honorary Committee Chair, Gail Sheehy, spoke of the importance of establishing an ongoing dialogue with those you love about osteoporosis prevention and your risk factors for the disease.
