Activity Summary: This activity will present current evidence regarding the role of calcium and vitamin D and discuss conflicting evidence regarding risks and benefits of dietary and supplemental nutrients. The format will be a slide/audio presentation followed by questions and answers.

Audience: Physicians with an interest in osteoporosis and bone health across the lifespan, including those working in family practice, endocrinology, rheumatology, women’s health, radiology, orthopaedics, physical and occupational therapy, public health and research.
Credits: 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 credit. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activities.
To Obtain Credit: After reading the article, participants must take the CME quiz, achieving a minimum score of 70%. The activity evaluation form should be completed but is not required for credit, although participants must submit their complete postal and e-mail address to receive their certificate of credit.
