Protecting the Spine through Exercise

NOF and Karen Kemmis, PT, DPT collaborated on this article published in the September/October issue of Functional U: Exercise and Activity for Healthy Aging, a publication produced by the International Council of Active Aging. This article provides comprehensive information about exercise and safe movement including specific exercises individuals can do to improve strength, balance, posture and function as well as exercises that should be avoided or modified to reduce the risk of spine fractures.
