National Osteoporosis Foundation and International Society for Clinical Densitometry Team Up for 2010 Annual Meeting

(Washington, DC) — The International Society for Clinical Densitometry (ISCD) and National Osteoporosis Foundation (NOF) have combined efforts to assist the clinician and technologist in providing the most relevant, up-to-date information for clinical practice atCLINICAL OSTEOPOROSIS 2010: An ISCD-NOF Symposium.

As the foremost bone health organizations in professional education and consumer information, both bring their extensive expertise together for an in-depth meeting that convenes top researchers, clinicians and technologists in an important conference about cutting-edge advances in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis.

The National Osteoporosis Foundation has named Barbara Hannah Grufferman as its first Bone Health Ambassador. In this newly-established role, Grufferman, a well-known advocate for healthy and positive living, will dedicate her time, talent and energy to raise awareness for osteoporosis and the importance of building strong bones for life.

Thanks to a generous gift from The Samuel J. & Ethel LeFrak Charitable Trust, the National Osteoporosis Foundation met its Generations of Strength fundraising goal one year early.
