United States Bone and Joint Initiative Fit to a T Program

The NOF New Mexico “Bone Boosters” Club is hosting a Fit to a T program presented by the U.S. Bone and Joint Initiative on May 5 at 11:30 am at Mountain View Regional Medical Center SC in Las Cruces, NM. The program is an outcome of the World Health Organization global initiative to bring awareness to the skeletal-muscular conditions that are so prevalent around the world. The Bone Boosters will also be offering membership in their “Flamingo Club,” which promotes the balance-building exercise of standing on one leg. Workplace Posture Screenings

Presented by Kessler Rehabilitation Center in New Jersey

Kessler Rehabilitation Center in New Jersey is offering free Workplace Posture Screenings throughout the month of May for National Osteoporosis Month. Research indicates that individuals in sedentary occupations may be at risk of developing low bone mass. But with the right education, the workplace can provide a great opportunity to incorporate bone healthy behaviors.
