NOF Clinical Director, Dr. Andrea Singer, is lead author of an original article on the burden of fracture on postmenopausal women published in the January issue of Mayo Clinic Proceedings. The study found bone fractures due to osteoporosis lead to more hospitalizations and greater healthcare costs than heart attack, stroke or breast cancer for U.S. women age 55 or older.
