Use our directory below to find a support group in your area. NOF Scottsdale Healthcare Osteoporosis Support and Education Group

The Scottsdale Osteoporosis Support and Education group offers participants an opportunity to give and receive support from those in similar situations, enjoy expert speakers on a wide variety of topics related to osteoporosis and low bone density, and learn tips on the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis. The group meets the 3rd Wednesday of the month, every other month at the Scottsdale Shea Medical Center, Brady Conference Center, 9003 East Shea Boulevard in Scottsdale. The meetings are FREE and open to anyone living with osteoporosis or low bone density. The Pinellas County Florida Support Group meets once a month at the Fyzical Therapy & Balance Center, 14280 Walsingham Road in Largo. The meetings address topics of concern for individuals with osteoporosis and osteopenia, including exercise, nutrition, treatment choices and living your best life with osteoporosis. Guest speakers are frequently brought in and every meeting includes time dedicated to open discussion among the group members. The NOF/New Mexico Bone Boosters is a lifestyles support group and stresses the idea that almost anything one does for a healthy lifestyle will benefit and nourish the bones. Northtowns Osteoporosis is the area’s first NOF affiliated support group and was started in January, 2000. The group meets the third Wednesday of each month from 10-11:30 am. Meetings are held at Beechwood Residence, 2235 Millersport Highway, Getzville, NY. Meetings are free and open to all. The meetings feature guest speakers discussing various topics of interest to help people living with osteoporosis or at risk for developing the condition live safely and comfortably. New members and walk-ins are welcome.

The Bone Buddies support group meet on the second Saturday of each month at 9:45am at the Methodist Richardson Medical Center on the corner of Bush @ Renner. Please bring your “Boning Up” brochure to the meeting, if you have one. The meetings are free and open to all and we invite everyone to lunch at a local restaurant after the meeting.

The 2821 building is the 5-story Physician Pavilion, between the single story Cancer and Emergency Departments. There is an entrance to this small campus on either the service road side of Geo, Bush, or off Renner Road. Suite 200 is located on the 2nd floor and is the only Conference Room in the building. You can access the 2nd floor by stairs, or elevator.The only other building on the site is the new hospital that’s under construction. With the meeting taking place on Saturdays, there should be plenty of parking.
